Nikki Beilman

Birth & Post Partum Doula

Hi everyone! I am Nikki Beilman, and I am so happy to be working with MotherMe Doulas on Call!

I originally started this journey several years ago when my sister-in-law opened my eyes to what natural birth outside of a hospital looked like. She also had a postpartum Doula and I just thought that was the most interesting thing I had ever heard of! At the time I had no idea just how much there was to know about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum and I was captivated by every detail!

It took me a while to get the guts to pursue being a postpartum Doula, but a few years later everything really changed for me. One day we found out that my niece, Ruthie, had passed away at 35 weeks gestation. So on May 22, 2015 I was able to be the Doula for my sister and brother-in-law when she delivered her naturally at a birthing center.

As hard as it was for me (and still is), being there for Ruthie’s birth really opened my eyes to the beauty of labor, because before I had been intimidated by it. I had no idea how intense and beautiful the birth process could be. Not just the birth itself, but the interaction between parents as the contractions build, and the strength I see exhibited in such a vulnerable space. Looking back now, I could never imagine limiting myself to being just a postpartum Doula, I know I just have so much to offer!

So now, here I am working my dream! One of my biggest gifts and something I can bring to the table, is my deep passion for nurturing others. I just love taking care of people and making them feel warm and fuzzy! I know being a Doula is the best place for me to do that, and it is no coincidence that God has lead me to this profession!

I just love MotherMe Doulas on Call; everyone is so fun and warm and welcoming and I have felt so included throughout my entire relationship with them. It is so nice to be a part of this family who is doing such amazing things in their community.

I can’t wait to hear from you, let’s meet!!!
