Evidence based classes, replacing fear with confidence
Antepartum doula - Are you on bedrest? Have other kiddos? Need some help with all the preparations before labor day? An antepartum doula can help take away some of the stress. Available in 4-hour increments.
Birth doula - She helps you prepare your birthplan, communicate more effectively with your care provider, works with you and your partner prepare for roles and relaxation for the big day. She either labors with you at home for as long as you wish or meets you directly at your birth place (birth center or hospital). She is there for every contraction and her sole responsibility is mother and partner's emotional well being and support.
Postpartum doula - American women are known for doing "too much, too soon". Other cultures sequester the woman for 40 days to allow her body to rest and recoup after nine long months of growing a human being and birthing one. You may not have that luxury but you can certainly enjoy some in-home support. Getting the hang of breastfeeding, enjoying 2 solid hours of naptime without the phone or wondering if the baby is okay, general housekeeping or meal preparation. This and more is the role of the postpartum doula - who mothers the mother so she can baby her baby! Available in 4-hour daytime or 8-hour night-time increments.
Classes - We have a full spectrum of classes to help raise your confidence. From Early Pregnancy Nutrition and Exercise, Baby Care and Calming, Infant and Child CPR, Basics of Breastfeeding, Newborn Massage, Sibling Preparation, Preparing for Childbirth, Mommy & Me, Daddy & Me - designed with Dad in mind - helping him become her hero and Refresher courses. Register for our 4 week Lamaze classes. We even offer gift certificates so family and friends can give you something you'll truly use and love!
Breastfeeding counseling - not sure if latch looks right? Worried about supply? Hurting? You just may need a qualified girlfriend to come coach you through a feeding or two. Or you may need the assistance of an IBCLC. We can help you determine what level of help you need. 2 hour in home consult.
