Kristine Tawater, CD(DONA)
I am the mother of 4 all born naturally, 2 at home. I have been a doula for 2 1/2 years and am currently pursuing education as a midwife.  I have always felt a strong calling to serve women as they grow and birth their babies. I beleive that families deserve to empower themselves to make good choices in pregnancy and birth by learning how to ask questions and effectively communicate with their caregiver of choice.Helping families achieve wonderful lifelong memories of the births of their children is my goal in life. I look forward to providing doula services to your family.

April Yandrisovitz, Certified Doula
April has happily married for 9 years and they have a two year old daughter named Adia.  During pregnancy, April and her husbandI made a very educated decision at 36 weeks gestation to have a home water birth.  It was a beautiful birth experience that inspired her to want to assist other women enjoy a beautiful birth as they define it.
She received her certification through The Academy of Certified Birth Educators and Labor Professionals and is currently working on becoming DONA (Doulas of North America) certified.
April says, "I believe that a woman's body is made to be able to birth her child.  Childbirth shouldn't be feared but embraced.  Fear, no matter how big or little, hinders the birth process.  Good childbirth education combined with a support team that will support you in your goals and wishes is the key to a successful childbirth.  What is a successful childbirth?  That no matter what the outcome, you felt respected, heard, properly communicated with, supported, nurtured and a part of the decision making process.  Every birthing mother deserves this kind of care and respect."

Sarah Small, CD(DONA)
Certified Doula through Doula's of North America since 2005 Trained Mother Assistant The Motherhood Center, Houston, TX Certified CPR and Infant Resuscitation Postpartum Care Breastfeeding Support Infant Massage.

Sarah says: "I became a doula because I love pregnancy, birth and babies and even more than that I love the women experiencing the moments of pregnancy, birth, and babies postpartum.  I feel a passion and a draw toward these moments and take great pleasure in learning more about it and helping families feel more at peace at the changes occuring, more excited about the future before them, and more protected during the work ahead of them.

I really enjoyed all three of my pregnancies and births, I love my three beautiful sons.  Each came with different experiences; I gave birth at a birthcenter, a hospital, and at home.  But my interest in pregnancy and birth extened far beyond my self, and I have continually found myself drawn towards other women that I meet at the park, at the store, on the street, no place is too sacred.

Pregnancy, childbirth, and the days of the newborn are moments you will recall for the rest of your life.  Every woman deserves the utmost support and encouragment."
